We made water filters from layers of leaves, grass, pebbles and twigs. We placed these in a bottle with a piece of cloth at the mouth. This type of filter takes out the dirt. However another step is required before you can drink the water. By boiling the water, this removes chemicals and bacteria. When we had finished we wrote a set of instructions on how to make a recycled water filter.
